Since I am way overdue, here is a quick add from a shooting session a couple days ago.  This was taken a few minutes after sunset in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

I took this shot at a small vineyard last year during the harvest.  I was looking at it again yesterday and something about it lifted my spirits.  I thought I would share it here. 

Evidence of Spring

Swan River, Idaho

I travel a great deal for work.  Too much most weeks but like most difficult things, there can be a silver lining.  I have been fortunate to see some truly beautiful places.  This photograph was taken near Swan Valley, Idaho.  It was -30 degrees with windchill but I spent some time grabbing photos as the sun came up.  Really incredible.

A simple field

I grabbed this image the other day as I drove through the area on a work trip.  I was amazed at the number of lambs running wild and thought I would try for a quick shot.  I only had about five minutes to find a roadside location and get set so more time would have been wonderful.  Oh well, there is always next time.

Step one

Chances are pretty good I will be sporadic at best on my blogging attempts. Maybe a little background information is in order. I am a small business owner and spend way too much time traveling to send regular (interesting) blog posts out into the world. I hope to use this forum to document my quickly growing love for all things photography.

I am a serious amateur at the moment and I have no delusions I will be hanging art in the local galleries anytime soon. I do like the idea of finding other like minded folks to share ideas and images with.

This blog will be an attempt to detail the images and locations that make up this passion. I hope to hear from soon to be new friends and apologize in advance for any prolonged periods of time between posts.
